Mrs. Kim Berry is the proud owner, of Amplified Performing Arts Center. She graduated from Northwestern State University with a degree in Elementary Education and Dance. Ms. Kim has danced and cheered for most of her life. She was the Captain of the N.S.U. Dazzlers for 2 years and the N.S.U. Co-Captain of cheer for 2 years. She danced professionally at the Cenla Performing Arts Company while pursuing her teaching career. Ms. Kim taught in the Natchitoches Parish School System for 5 years and loved every minute of it. Her passion has always been to train students in the art of dance and cheer. She opened her first successful studio in Natchitoches, LA in 1990 and trained students for 6 years before moving to Niceville. Since owning her studio in Natchitoches and Niceville, she has had the opportunity to see many of her students get scholarships in dance and cheer at the college level, open their own studios, and even pursue professional careers in dance and cheer. Her competitive dance companies and cheer teams have won thousands of platinum and gold first place trophies that fill the studio.
Coach Shannon Nielsen was a competitive gymnast for 11 years competing up to Level 7. When she began high school she cheered for both her high school and an all star team. She was also a cheerleader at the University of Central Florida where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports and Fitness, specializing in coaching and sports injuries. Shannon has over 10 years of experience coaching to include music, choreography and judging. She is certified through USASF to coach all levels, AACCA (American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Administrators) certified. She also has her first aid and CPR certifications. Shannon worked at Universal Studios in Orlando as a Stilt walker and trained in aerial silk. You can see Shannon in the movie “Bring It On; In It to Win It” as a cheerleader on the Prairie Dogs cheer team. Shannon loves coaching and working with your kids.
Coach Tom Siren was a competitive gymnast for 10 years. He cheered at Choctawhatchee High School for 3 years and 1 1/2 years at OWCC. Tom was an NCA Staff member for 10 years. Tom has also been a competition judge for the National Cheerleading Association (NCA). He started coaching gymnastics in the spring of 1998 and started coaching cheerleading in the summer of 2000. He is an experienced instructor in all levels of tumbling, cheerleading and stunting. Tom’s favorite thing about coaching is helping people achieve a skill they might have thought was out of their reach.
Coach Ryan Tucker grew up in Rapid City, SD and started gymnastics at a young age. He was a competitive gymnast for 10 years and qualified for the Junior Olympic National Championships as a Class 2 and a Class 1 gymnast. In addition to competing, Ryan began coaching recreational and team classes at his gym during high school. He then attended the University of Florida, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and a Master’s Degree in International Business. At UF he took a Sport and Fitness Gymnastics class, a Coaching Gymnastics class, and then helped teach the class of as a Teaching Assistant. Ryan now has over 5 years of experience coaching gymnastics and tumbling and is excited to continue learning more about competitive cheer.
Coach Matt Copeland has 6 years of all star cheer team experience and 2 years of collegiate cheer experience. He has been a part of the Amplifed All Star family for 5 years and has been an All Star cheer and tumbling coach for 3 years. Matt is USASSF certified in stunts, tumbling and baskets up to level 4 and currently working on his level 5 certifications. He has judged many high school, and middle school cheer team try outs as well as judging All Star competitions. Matt says “ This is my passion and I am glad to share my knowledge with every kid who walks through our doors.”
